Guided Implant Surgery

We begin the process of placing dental implants with a one-on-one consultation. During this visit, we capture images of your jaw using 3D cone beam computed tomography. This aids Dr. Faiella in planning the precise location for your dental implants by visualizing the exact positioning of the nerves, the bone level and other tooth roots. We then create a computer-generated surgical guide from a digital impression taken of your teeth. On the day of your implant surgery, Dr. Faiella secures the surgical guide firmly over the chewing surfaces of the arch. The surgical guide contains an opening where your dental implants are to be positioned, restricting the placement of the dental implants to within 0.5mm of where insertion is planned. He then prepares the bone and inserts your dental implants in their ideal position with high-level accuracy.
